Terms and Conditions

Last Updated: January 26, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By booking and purchasing music production coaching sessions through School of Square, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before completing your purchase.

2. Services Offered

School of Square provides online music production coaching services, including one-on-one sessions and small-group instruction. All sessions are conducted remotely via video conferencing platforms.

3. Australian Consumer Law

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the services supplied again if the services fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy conferred by the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable law that cannot be excluded, restricted, or modified by agreement.

4. Booking and Payment

• All sessions must be booked and paid for in advance through our online booking system
• Prices are listed in USD and may vary by producer and session type
• Payment is required at the time of booking to confirm your session
• We accept major credit cards and other payment methods as displayed at checkout

5. Scheduling and Attendance

• Sessions are scheduled based on producer availability across multiple time zones
• You will receive a confirmation email with session details and access instructions
• It is your responsibility to attend sessions at the scheduled time

Late Arrival Policy:
• Students must join the session within 15 minutes of the scheduled start time
• If you arrive late, your session time will be reduced by the amount of time you are late (e.g., arriving 15 minutes late means your session will be 15 minutes shorter)
• Sessions will not be extended beyond the scheduled end time to compensate for late arrivals
• No refunds will be provided for reduced session time due to late arrival
• If you do not join within 15 minutes of the scheduled start time, it will be considered a no-show (see No-Show Policy below)

6. Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

Cancellations and Rescheduling:
• Cancellations or rescheduling requests must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled session
• Cancellations made with proper notice may be eligible for a refund or credit toward a future session
• Cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance are non-refundable

No-Show Policy:
• If a student does not join the session within 15 minutes of the scheduled start time, it will be considered a no-show
• No-shows are non-refundable and non-transferable
• The producer is not obligated to wait beyond 15 minutes or provide a make-up session

Producer Cancellations:
• Producers reserve the right to cancel or reschedule sessions due to unforeseen circumstances
• In such cases, a full refund or alternative session time will be offered

7. Refund Policy

• Refunds are issued in accordance with our cancellation policy and Australian Consumer Law
• Refund requests must be submitted in writing to our support team
• Processing time for approved refunds is typically 5-10 business days
• No-shows (failure to join within 15 minutes of scheduled start time) are not eligible for refunds
• Late arrivals that result in shortened session time are not eligible for partial refunds

8. Intellectual Property

• All course materials, recordings, and content provided during sessions remain the intellectual property of School of Square and its producers
• Students may not record, reproduce, or distribute session content without express written permission
• Music and projects created by students during sessions remain the property of the student

9. Code of Conduct

• Students are expected to treat producers and other participants with respect
• Disruptive, abusive, or inappropriate behavior may result in immediate termination of the session without refund
• We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who violates our code of conduct

10. Technical Requirements

• Students are responsible for ensuring they have a stable internet connection and appropriate hardware/software for sessions
• Technical difficulties on the student's end do not qualify for refunds or make-up sessions

11. Privacy and Data Protection

• We collect and process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth)
• Student information is kept confidential and used solely for service delivery and communication
• We do not sell or share personal information with third parties except as required by law

12. Limitation of Liability

• School of Square and its producers provide coaching services on an "as is" basis
• We make no guarantees regarding specific outcomes or results from coaching sessions
• To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific session in question
• This limitation does not apply to any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the Australian Consumer Law

13. Changes to Terms

• We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time
• Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date
• Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms

14. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Queensland, Australia.
