Plugin Hub
The desktop Hub brings your purchased plugins together. See the setup guide and current download status below.
View the Hub setup guideUNOWN Plugin Hub
Downloads coming soonUNOWN Hub 0.3.3 brings your purchased plugins together. US$10 per plugin, or US$50 for the full collection. Install, activate and manage your plugins from one desktop app.
Website sign-in opens your orders and account details. The desktop Hub has its own email-code sign-in. Use the same email you used at checkout; a website sign-in code does not sign you into the Hub.
Mac and Windows downloads will open here when the Hub launches. Read the setup guide below to get ready.
Mac
Choose Apple silicon or Intel to match your Mac. In About This Mac, an Apple chip means Apple silicon; an Intel processor means Intel. Extract the ZIP, then drag UNOWN Hub into Applications. The Mac app is Developer ID signed and notarized by Apple.
Available at launch
Windows 64-bit
The Windows app is supplied as a ZIP. Extract the whole folder, keep its files together and open UNOWN Hub.exe.
This Windows release is unsigned. SmartScreen may show “Windows protected your PC” or “unrecognised app”. For a download you have verified came from School of Square, check the filename and published checksum before choosing More info → Run anyway, if Windows offers it. A named virus detection is different: stop and contact support. Do not disable antivirus or system protection.
Your folder. Your setup.
Choose the VST3 folder your DAW scans. You can use a custom SSD folder or C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3. Protected folders request administrator approval during installation; the Hub stays signed in as you. Automatic installation and Manual export are also available.
In FL Studio, open Options → Manage plugins → Find installed plugins, with Verify plugins enabled. In Ableton, enable the matching VST3 system or custom folder and rescan. Keep the Hub and DAW under the same Windows user.
Available at launch
Mac plugins provide AU and VST3 where available. Windows plugins use VST3. Elsewhere is Mac-only, so the collection contains 17 plugins for Mac and 16 for Windows. steezeComb is VST3-only on both platforms.
- Open the Hub and sign in
Use your purchase email and enter the code sent by the Hub. No licence key needs to be pasted. Signing into the website alone does not activate a computer.
- Install your purchased plugins
Close your DAW. Choose Install in the Hub, then “Where is your plugins folder?” → Choose folder. Select a folder on your Desktop, SSD or another connected drive, check the displayed path and click Install to this folder. If it needs permission, continue to the Windows or macOS administrator prompt and approve it there. The Hub remembers your choice.
- Reopen your DAW and rescan
Reopen your DAW and rescan the VST3 folder you selected. Load the plugin on a suitable track and play audio. On Mac, Audio Units stay in the standard Components folder. Avoid scanning duplicate copies of the same plugin.
Can I use a folder on my SSD or another drive?
Yes. Choose a folder your DAW can scan, including Desktop and folders on internal or external drives. Protected folders request administrator approval. The drive must be connected, have free space and allow writing; the Hub cannot override a read-only drive or an organisation’s restrictions. Keep that drive connected when you use its plugins.
How do I install plugins manually?
Choose Manual export in the Hub and select a destination. Open the export folder and copy each whole .vst3 bundle from VST3 into your DAW’s VST3 folder. On Mac, copy .component bundles from Components into ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components. Back up any same-named bundle first, then rescan your DAW. Sign into the Hub on that computer to activate it. Manual copies are updated and removed by you.
How do updates and folder changes work?
The Hub keeps each installed plugin’s folder for updates, Previous version and Uninstall. To move a managed VST3 copy, choose the new folder and install it there through the Hub. Changing the saved folder alone does not move files. Close your DAW first and approve a system permission prompt if needed. Your purchases, presets and activation are kept.
Do I need to keep the Hub open?
No. Each account can activate two computers. Once your purchased plugins are activated on a computer, they work offline permanently with the Hub closed. Connect again for new purchases and downloads. Signing out keeps existing activation.
How do I replace a computer?
Replacements need support approval. Open Computers in the Hub, copy the replacement details and send them through the support page below. Tell us which old computer you want to replace. Copying the details does not send a message automatically.
My purchase is not showing
Check that you signed into the Hub with the checkout email and refresh the library after payment completes. A purchase under another email will not appear automatically. If it is still missing, contact support with your order number and purchase email; never send a sign-in code.
